Help Thornwood Elementary stock its PBIS store. Similar to BHE's Roar Store, Thornwood's students earn points for positive behaviors, and they have the opportunity to purchase items and experiences with their points. When you order, you should have the option to ship directly to Thornwood Elementary, the list/registry address. If for some reason the address does not show up, you are welcome to ship to or drop off at Keleigh Spinner’s house. (See address below.)

 

New this year, Thornwood students are no longer required to wear uniforms!  However, the TWE nurse is in need of youth underwear of all sizes—boys and girls, with a preference for the smaller sizes (K-2nd)—and sneakers of all sizes. You are welcome to ship your underwear and shoe donations directly to Keleigh, or purchase and drop off at her house:

  • What is Thornwood?  Thornwood Elementary is a Title I school (a school with a high percentage of students from low income families) in SBISD located near Dairy Ashford and Memorial Drive. The school currently has no PTA. 
  • Why do we help Thornwood?  BHE PTA participates in the Sister School Solution program. Thornwood is BHE's sister school.  
  • What sort of help will we provide?  BHE assists with a variety of needs throughout the year. The Community Service Chair, Keleigh Spinner, will meet with Thornwood administration in August to determine needs and make a volunteer plan for the year. In years past, we have coordinated holiday parties, provided library volunteers, book fair volunteers, field day supplies, teacher appreciation, hoilday assistance to families in need (Angel Tree), school supplies drives, and more!
  • What is my commitment to Team Thornwood?  Whether you have an hour a week, an hour a semester, or just wish to make a donation, big or small, we appreciate you. Go Team Thornwood!
