Don't get left out of the BHE Directory!  Returning families, please update your family's account with your students’ 2026-2027 grade and teacher. New families, please create a family account and add your students’ 2026-2027 grade and teacher. Printed directories will only be distributed to families who include their students’ information by Friday, September 4th.

Big Form is Open!

The 2026 BHE Big Form is live from August 10th to September 4th. The BHE Big Form is where your family can join the PTA, purchase yearbooks, birthday marquee messages and extra directories, as well as donate to BHE's Underwriting Campaign and our sister school, Thornwood Elementary. Look for the green lion icon on the PTA website homepage. 

Watch D.O.G.S. Program

The Watch D.O.G.S. (Dad's of Great Students) program empowers dads to get involved in schools to serve as positive role models who promote the importance of education and enhance security on our campus. This year, we will have two Watch D.O.G.S. at BHE each day. First, register to become an approved SBISD volunteer for the 2026-27 school year, then sign up to be a Bunker Hill Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer.

Campus Improvement Committee (CIC) Requests

The Campus Improvement Committee (CIC) invites you to submit requests from Friday, July 31st  through Friday, August 14th. Our committee is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and prioritizing these requests to ensure that PTA Funds exceeding the operating budget are allocated effectively to support the school’s strategic goals and needs. We will consider all Fall submissions and provide our recommendations for approval at the PTA General Meeting on August 28th. 

Any current PTA member can submit a request and complete the Fall CIC Request Form or go to the PTA website and click 'CIC Request' under the Quick Links on the right.

School Supplies

Don't miss out on the chance to gear up for the school year! School supplies are still available for purchase with delivery to your home. If you ordered school supplies before June 14th, your supplies will be in your child's classroom on the first day of school.

SBISD Volunteer Application

Register to be an SBISD volunteer for 2026-2027 year. You must be an SBISD-approved volunteer in order to volunteer at the school. This application is required every year.

First PTA Meeting Aug. 28th

Join us at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 28th, for the first PTA meeting of the year. We will hear updates from Dr. Rios and numerous PTA committees, and members will vote to approve our budget.

General Underwriting

Our PTA asks for community support for two key fundraising events each year - the General Underwriting Campaign in the fall and our Auction in the spring. We have officially launched our 2026 General Underwriting Campaign and are looking for families and businesses to support our school. Sponsors are investing in the future of our children and will receive the opportunity to advertise their business to hundreds of families, faculty members and administrators at BHE.

BHE Big Form

The 2026 BHE Big Form will be live from August 10th to September 4th. The BHE Big Form is where your family can join the PTA, purchase BHE Yearbooks, Happy Birthday messages on the marquee, additional School Directories and donate to BHE's Underwriting Campaign as well as support our sister school, Thornwood. 

New families need to register for a Membership Toolkit account on the BHE website. Returning families, be sure to update your Membership Toolkit account with your student's teacher after it is released in Skyward. Updating your student's grade level, teacher and directory publishing preferences will help ensure the accuracy of our directory.

• New Parent Orientation (parents only) – 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria

Tuesday, August 11th

• Meet the Teacher (A - M families) – 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.
• Meet the Teacher (N-Z families) – 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Thursday, August 13th

• First Day of School!
• Welcome Back Coffee – after drop-off in MPR

Sunday, August 16th

• Dads’ Club Back to School Picnic – 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the field (arrive by 6:00 p.m. for a special announcement from Dads’ Club!)

Visit with old friends and meet new ones at the grade level Back-to-School Luncheons! Committee representatives and BHE staff will be in attendance to give an overview of upcoming events for the year. All luncheons will begin at 11:00 a.m. Host homes are listed by grade level:

Kinder: August 24th at the home of Haley Gilliam - 935 Moss Spring Lane

1st and 2nd Grade: August 25th at the home of Lauren Adamek - 11934 Queensbury Lane

3rd and 4th Grade: August 26th at the home of Valerie Ly - 42 Williamsburg
