BHE Boundary Changes
SBISD administration presented a boundary proposal at the March 23rd Board of Trustees ("BOT") meeting that would affect Bunker Hill Elementary school for next school year 2026-2027. Video from that meeting, which also includes public comments and discussion by the BOT can be found HERE. Bunker Hill Elementary is currently the only elementary school in SBISD with enrollment over its built-for capacity (750 students), and the proposal would rezone approximately 55 students to Frostwood Elementary school (built-for capacity is 950), with current students (and younger siblings of current students) provided the option to be grandfathered in and able to remain at Bunker Hill Elementary, but without a bus route. The BOT may vote on the proposal at its Monday, April 13th meeting.

Upcoming SBISD Election
The SBISD election for Trustee Positions 1 & 2 is May 2nd. Information about the election can be found here. In past years, the League of Women Voters (a non-partisan group devoted to encouraging civic participation) has published a Voters Guide here. The Council of PTAs will host a candidate forum on Thursday, April 2nd - see flyer below for more details.

11/17/2025 6:00 pm
BHE’s top priorities are safety and learning! As parents, we are partners with our wonderful educators in maintaining a safe campus that is focused on teaching and learning. Here are a few reminders:
- During arrival and dismissal, car riders must be dropped off or picked up in the carpool line on the west side of campus, entering from Kimberley.
- The front parking lot off of Taylorcrest is reserved for buses. Unless you have prior approval from the administration, please do not enter the parking lot during arrival and dismissal.
- At all times, please respect the families and faculty who have reserved parking spots.
- When parents and other visitors come to the BHE during the school day, they should ring the doorbell facing the camera, and state their name and the purpose of their visit.
- During lunch, visitors should sit and eat with just their student at open cafeteria tables, picnic tables in the Learning Plaza, or tables in the hall just outside the cafeteria. Please don’t sit with or give treats to other children.
- Unless on yearbook duty, please refrain from taking photos of other people’s children.
We appreciate your support in keeping our children safe and ready to learn while they are at school!
