Have you heard about the Watch D.O.G.S.?!

About the ProgramThe Watch D.O.G.S. (Dad's of Great Students) empowers dads to get involved in schools, promoting the importance of education and serving as positive role models for students. This initiative, which started 25 years ago, enables dads to be directly involved in schools, enhance security, and emphasize the significance of education.

Volunteer: Ensure you sign-up to be an SBISD volunteer to participate.

When: Starting in January, after the Christmas break, every Thursday and Friday, up to six dads will take a day off from work to spend the entire day at school with students. A detailed schedule will be provided by the school, focusing on running grade-specific science labs and interacting with students.

Cub Scouts

8/19/2023 2:14 pm

Bunker Hill Elementary Cub Scout Pack 558 invites all BHE boys in grades 1st - 5th to join.

Cub Scouts have fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting embraces the values of the Scout Law, encouraging scouts to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. These values come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program - while they’re having a great time with their friends and families.  Scouting is aimed at building character, learning citizenship, developing personal fitness, and the organization and activities of scouting are geared to fulfilling these.

Pack 558 at Bunker Hill has a lot of fun and exciting activities every year, including: fall and spring campouts, an overnight trip at a local attraction (previously, Moody Gardens, Houston Zoo, & Lone Star Flight Museum), pinewood derby, cake-bake and various other events and activities.  All activities are family events. Yes, scouts’ siblings are welcome!

Previous enrollment is not necessary and parents are encouraged to participate.  There are leadership positions available for anyone who wants to be more involved and advance the role of scouting at BHE! Our goal is to make Scouts work WITH the other BHE activities, including sports, not compete with them.
