- What is Thornwood? Thornwood Elementary is a Title I school (a school with a high percentage of students from low income families) in SBISD located near Dairy Ashford and Memorial Drive. The school currently has no PTA.
- Why do we help Thornwood? BHE PTA participates in the Sister School Solution program. Thornwood is BHE's sister school.
- What sort of help will we provide? BHE assists with a variety of needs throughout the year. The Community Service Chairs, Dawson Krejci and Keleigh Spinner, will meet with Thornwood administration in August to determine needs and make a volunteer plan for the year. In years past, we have coordinated holiday parties, provided library volunteers, book fair volunteers, field day supplies, teacher appreciation, hoilday assistance to families in need (Angel Tree), school supplies drives, and more!
