Calling All Creators! This year’s PTA Reflections Contest is officially underway! If you love to write, dance, sing, create art, and you are inspired by this year’s theme, What My Culture Means To Me, we would love to have you participate!
Entries are due by October 23rd. We encourage participants to submit entries through using the BHE Reflections Student Entry Form If this is not an option, please use the paper form and return to the front desk. Questions? Contact Kim Lamb or LeighAnn Smart |

The Gifted and Talented (GT) parent referral window is now open! If you are interested in having your child evaluated for GT services (PGP/SPIRAL) you must complete the referral form by Saturday, October 17th.

- New families, please create a family account and add your students’ 2026-2027 grade and teacher.
Printed directories will only be distributed to families who include their students’ information by Friday, September 4th.

New this year, businesses and families who donate $2,500 or more to the 2026 General Underwriting Campaign will receive a blue banner in the carpool line - similar to the green Dads' Club Sponsor banners that are hanging outside the field.
Sponsors who donate $5,000 and above before Friday, September 4th will also receive their logo on a banner displayed in the school lobby and in a prominent location at various school events.
Your generosity will directly benefit more than 770 students at BHE by helping bridge the gap between public funding and our school's needs.

Fall and spring Room Parent sign-ups are now open! Room Parents are responsible for coordinating teacher birthdays, winter and end-of-year parties and teacher gift collections, as well as any other special teacher celebration such as a baby or wedding shower. Kindergarten, first and second grade Room Parents will also help coordinate a Valentine’s Day party. A few reminders:

The Watch D.O.G.S. (Dad's of Great Students) program empowers dads to get involved in schools to serve as positive role models who promote the importance of education and enhance security on our campus. This year, we will have two Watch D.O.G.S. at BHE each day. Spirit gear is here! If you weren’t able to pick up at Meet the Teacher, your items are available in the library. Sweatshirts will arrive at a later date. All items must be picked up by Friday, August 21st.

2026 General Underwriting

Our PTA asks for community support for two key fundraising events each year - the General Underwriting Campaign in the fall and our Auction in the spring. We have officially launched our 2026 General Underwriting Campaign and are looking for families and businesses to support our school. Sponsors are investing in the future of our children and will receive the opportunity to advertise your business to hundreds of families, faculty members and administrators at BHE.
