Be a Library Volunteer

 

For those of you who are new to being a Library Volunteer, please note this is not a weekly commitment. This is a scheduled rotation between you and the other volunteers in your class (e.g. if there are 4 slots, you will come every 4 times). 

  1. You may only sign-up for your child's homeroom class.
  2. You MUST ATTEND a MANDATORY TRAINING (schedule to be posted):
  3. Even if you're a veteran volunteer, you still need to attend training or you WILL NOT be added to the schedule.

Classroom Library volunteering starts in late August – schedule to be sent prior to start.

 

Literacy Library Volunteers

This volunteer position and involves coming to the school once every other Friday to organize and straighten the Literacy Library. The Literacy Library is a small section of the library where teachers keep their class readers. It should take about an hour, where you'll work with a partner, and can choose the time you come in! As with Classroom Library volunteering, YOU MUST COME TO THE MANDATORY TRAINING (see times above).

 

Library Shelf Organization Volunteers

This is a new volunteer position that involves organizing and ordering the shelves in the main library. You will come for one hour, once every 4 weeks, either on a Tuesday or Thursday at any time before 11:30 AM. This also requires you attend THE MANDATORY TRAINING (times coming soon).
